2016 Goals

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope your holidays were all filled with fun and festive frolics! Bit late on this post but better late than never and it's still January so I reckon it's all good! Behold my massively unambitious goals for 2016:

1. Do more during the week

I try to plan a lot for the weekends so there's always something to look forward to, but during the week the temptation to come home, throw on my pj's and hit netflix is too high. Just before I finished work for Christmas I had a really busy few weeks with going to the cinema (hello midnight Star Wars viewing) going for meals and going to gigs (Whitesnake and Def Leppard, you were amazing) and it was really fun, so I'm going to put more effort into evening activities - especially with the evenings starting to get brighter.

2. Blog more

Ha! I think we all saw this one coming! When I first started blogging I was actually pretty good for posting 2 or 3 times a week and then it fizzled out, so I'm going to make a real effort to at least post once a week. I'd also like to start doing more book reviews posts, I read about 3 books a month at least so it makes sense to blog about it more!

3. Go back to Florida

If you've read my blog for a while you'll know that the best year of my life was spent working at Disney world in Florida. I've been dying to go back ever since and this year I'll finally be going on holiday to say "hi" to Mickey Mouse, aka the best boss I have ever had.

4. Cook more

I am really lucky. My boyfriend loves to cook and is really good at it, so he basically makes every evening meal for us but I'd really like to try my hand at cooking at least one night a week. I have a massive pinterest board full of recipes that I really want to at least give a go. (And there's always dominos a phone call away if it turns into an unmitigated disaster.)

5. Move city

I really, really, reaaaaally want to move to Manchester! We've been back from travelling for about 9 months now and I feel like it's time for a change of scene. Manchester is my ideal, but I would also love living back home in Scotland too.

6. Sort out my wardrobe

Seriously, right now it's a big jumbled mess. Basically this is because whenever I've done washing and I have to put my clothes away I just shove them into my cupboard wherever they'll fit and then when I go to wear them again they're, unsurprisingly, massively crumpled. I really need to get rid of the things I don't wear any more, then hopefully I'll have room to put things away properly and all my clothes will be hanging up all pristine and ready to be worn. In theory.

So that's my top 5 goals anyway. I'm also going to try to eat a bit healthier and exercise more, but I think that's always a bit of a given for January after all the Christmas feasting! What are your resolutions? Let me know in the comments!
