My Hand Luggage Make Up

So if you read my blog regularly you'll know by now that I was back home in Glasgow last weekend (because I've gone on about it my last three posts). I didn't check in any main luggage, so my make up was limited to what I could fit in the little plastic bags you get at the airport. I thought I'd show you what I took, bit of a twist on the ol' "What's in my make up bag" eh?

Onwards!

I realise that this is probably the least visually appealing picture anyone's ever put of make up on a blog, but I just wanted to illustrate that it does all fit in the bag!

FACE

LOreal Lumi Magique Primer Pure Light

I love this primer to bits, it's really glowy and makes my skin look all lovely and dewy. I've written a (marginally better worded) review of it here.

YSL Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

I've actually gone off this foundation a bit! I love the way it makes most of my skin look, but it's making parts of my face look quite dry. I never even thought I had dry skin, so go figure! I'm still using it for the time being, but I think I'll be on the look out for a new foundation soon. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is one of my favourite bargain products, it just does such a very good job for the very good price of £4.19. (Also, that's actually a very random price isn't it?)

Simple Moisturiser

I picked this up the day before I went 'cause it looked handy and travel sized, you see! I only used it a few times and it was fine, it didn't make enough of an impact to warrant me buying a full sized bottle, but I'd definitely shove it in my hand luggage again next time I don't want to pay to check a bag into the hold!

EYES

Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner

I always use this on my top eyelids, it's brilliant! I've had this one for ages and it still hasn't run out! The brush is really precise as well, so it's good for doing cat eye flicks. (If, unlike me, you're good at it to begin with obviously)

Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in White

I always use this eyeliner during the day to make my eyes look bigger.

Maybelline Master Kajal Liner

...And this is my night out eyeliner. I always find it glides on really smoothly and it's good for creating a big bold look.

 Urban Decay Naked palette

Technically this didn't go in the bag, but it was on the flight with me so I'm counting it! I got this palette a few months ago for my birthday and I've pretty much used it non stop ever since!

Miss Manga Mascara

This is my current favourite mascara, it's amazing for creating volume and lifting the lashes. I'm wearing it as I type this, having applied it over 12 hours ago this morning and it still looks pretty good!

CHEEKS

Makeup Revolution Blush Palette Golden Sugar

Another one that technically wasn't in the plastic bag! I'd seen this palette raved about on a lot of blogs before I finally just bought it, and now I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner, especially since it's only £6! This compact is pretty much made to go on holiday with you, with a multitude of different shades and a handy mirror in it.

LIPS

I packed two of my favourite lipsticks which are :

Infrared, Topshop

This is a lovely reddish, orange shade and I always get tons of compliments when wearing it.

Pink in the Afternoon, Revlon

And this is the lipstick Holly Golightly wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's, which makes it an instant essential.

And them's the lot! Have you got any make up essentials you'd have to take away with you?

  1. I'm impressed! I'm flying in less than two weeks, but I am checking a bag, so I'm just carrying on a bb cream, mascara, and tinted lip balm! I'm going to be packing the Naked 3 instead because I think it suits me best, and it's the only Naked palette I have. :-D

  2. I'm impressed you managed to make all of that fit in a bag! I take all of my make up in hand luggage in case it gets crushed and never worry about putting it in the hold. I do tend to take less than that though!

    1. Haha I'm usually a lot more low maintenance with what I take, but I was going to a blogger meet up on the Sunday and felt I should put in the effort!!
