June Round Up

You know the Woody's round up song from Toy Story 2? That's in my head now. (It's time for Kirsty's round upppp..) I can't believe I'm already doing my second one of these. Time is actually flying! So without further ado here's some of my favourite things and moments from June:

Beauty

Loreal Ideal True Match Powder- This was a bit of an impulse buy, I was buying a mascara for my perfect mascara series and there was some kind of 2 for £15 offer on Loreal products so obviously I bought something else despite only going into Superdrug to pick up one thing.

I'm not usually the biggest fan of powder but I really like this, the colour match is pretty good, it blends nicely and my skin feels so soft and smooth when I'm wearing it!

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer -  I randomly picked this up at the check out (probably buying all my Loreal products) and I'm glad I did. The only other primer I've used is one by Smashbox so my standards were high and this did a pretty good job! I love the way it feels on my skin and since buying it I've been using it every day! The only down side is that it's a pretty small tube but at only £5.99 I'll be buying it again.

Model Co Eyeliner - I'm not very big on pencil eyeliners because I'm the clumsiest person in the world and always end up dropping them which means they always end up broken all the way through! I got this free with Glamour magazine for £1 though and it's brilliant! It glides on so smoothly, sharpens nicely and I haven't dropped it yet! I'm undecided if I would buy it for its full price of £14 (for reasons mentioned above) but I've really been liking it and will probably frantically try and buy some more copies of Glamour before June's done!

Films/Dvds

We spent this month power watching all 8 seasons of Entourage before going to see the movie last week. I love this show, it's ridiculous yet brilliant.

Nails of the Month

I've been going to get my nails done again this month, the two looks I've been sporting :

Moments of the month

1. My absolute favourite moment of the month was on Saturday when I finally paid off my credit card from travelling! Time to start saving for a holiday to Disney World.

2. For people who read my first ever blog post (anyone?!) the Narnia lamppost is back!

3.You might have noticed that I have a new blog logo! It's something I've been wanting to do for a while and then I randomly came across Gulsa at Waltz in Water and I'm delighted I did. The description I gave her of what I wanted was painfully vague but she's managed to create the most beautiful design! I would really recommend her if you're looking for a personalised blog header for a reasonable price!

That was the highlights of this month! If you liked this post you can read all about my May favourites here.

  1. I have been looking for some good primer and your recommendation of using Rimmel stay matte primer solved my problem. You look absolutely chic in that sea green top paired with absolutely gorgeous nail paints. 😍
